If you have misplaced an urn containing the remains of a loved one, you may want to contact the Hillsborough County Solid Waste Department.

Agency personnel contacted the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office on Oct. 19 about a metal urn with cremated remains discovered at the solid waste center at 6209 County Road 579 in Seffner.

Sheriff's detectives have been unsuccessful in finding someone to step forward to claim the discarded urn.

The name Debbie Sue is etched on the urn, but detectives have been unable to locate or contact any family members of that individual, according to a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office news release. Debbie Sue's last name and year of birth have been blackened out in the photo of the urn.

Hillsborough sheriff's detectives are asking anyone with knowledge of the urn or can verify additional concealed details etched on the urn to call Hillsborough County sheriff's Cpl. Shawn Helmer at (813) 247-0455.
