Rescues in Action for Sunday, March 2

TAMPA - This beautiful boy is Mickey!. He is a 1 year old Hound mix who weighs about 60 pounds.  Mickey was originally adopted out from a high kill shelter as a very small pup.  He ended up back at the shelter after being hit by a car at 11 months old.  When his owners were contacted they said they could not afford to care for his injuries and then asked if they could come pick a different dog.

Mickey’s only chance at survival was rescue and Lost Angels felt the pull to help this guy.  Mickey’s had to undergo surgery and have pins placed in his leg.  He is recovering nicely although he still has a long road ahead of him.  Once he heals completely it is expected that there will be no long term issues with his leg.

He LOVES to lick. He will literally give anything a kiss. He is ALWAYS happy. Just look his way, and thump, thump, thump, the energizer bunny gets going. He is 100% potty trained, crate trained, and sleeps through the night, but is still very much the playful puppy. He needs to chew chew chew. His favorite thing is a nylabone. The BIGGER the BETTER.

He enjoys basking in the sun.  He is definitely desiring a good romp with the other children. He gets along with dogs, cats, children, strangers. Not a mean bone in his body. No food aggression at all. As a matter of fact, he loves to eat right out of your hand. Mickey will get in his crate without much trouble as long as there is a big comfy bed.

He is neutered, and UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed for intestinal parasites, and started on a heartworm and flea preventative. He comes with one free vet visit. My adoption donation is $200.00. If you would like to learn more about me email or visit and submit an application on line.
