A Citrus County fisherman is talking about the night he spent alone in the Gulf, five miles offshore.
On Thursday, a passing boater just happened to see 51-year-old Steve Moumouris treading water in the Gulf. He fell out of his boat during a storm and wound up treading water for 23 hours.
Moumouris says he should have been wearing a life jacket. He calls the rescue lucky. Doctors plan to keep Moumouris in the hospital at least one more night. He says the experience hasn't made him afraid of the water, and he has no plans to stop fishing.
