Major companies dotting the Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater skylines no longer have to deal with all the logistics of maintaining housekeeping and landscaping responsibilities.

OpenWorks, a leading national commercial cleaning company, has landed in Tampa. It recently launched a new franchise territory in the Tampa Bay area.

The company provides services to large commercial businesses in the area of janitorial, landscaping, window washing and other cleaning services.

Cliff D'Amico is OpenWorks' new local regional director. He sat down Saturday, July 30, for an interview with ABC Action News Weekend Edition anchor Lindsay Logue.

Tampa is the company's 12th market to establish a presence.

D'Amico said Tampa is an ideal location for his company's expansion because of its rapid growth and the concentration of private schools, office buildings and medical centers in the Bay area.

OpenWorks prides itself as a company that offers opportunities to minority entrepreneurs and others interested in starting their own businesses.
