Locale Market chef shares tips on ways to make a stress-less Thanksgiving meal

Locale Market Executive Chef Jeffrey Hileman doesn't like to sweat the details, especially during the holiday season when being with family is a top priority.

“Gram’s” Cranberry Relish
Ingredients
¾ cups plus 1 T of sugar
1 cup hot water
12 oz fresh cranberries
1 granny smith apple, peeled, cored and medium dice
1/8 t cinnamon
 
Method of preparation 
  1. Dissolve sugar in water over low heat.
  2. Add cranberries and apples, simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
  3. Once cranberries have “popped”, stir in cinnamon, and remove from heat.
  4. Relish will thicken as it cools.
  5. Enjoy!
