Getting to know reality star and wife of former Buccaneer Monica Culpepper with "10 questions"

TAMPA, Fla - Are you ever curious about the real lives of politicians, celebrities, local newsmakers and athletes?

Each Tuesday, ABC Action News asks 10 questions of a Bay area leader, politician or even national celebrity.

We go beyond the questions that are news of the day. After all sometimes, we want know more about them. What's their favorite music? Greatest success? And who do they look up to?

Here in the Bay area, Culpepper is a name many know. It's usually associated with  Brad Culpepper, a former Tampa Bay Buccaneer and current lawyer, whose firm is known for it's highly produced commercials.

But, the rock by his side for more than 20 years is his wife Monica.

And Monica has certainly earned her own name recognition as a contestant on the reality show "Survivor."

Her presence made such an impression she was invited back for a second round with her husband Brad. She ended up the runner-up on the show.

This week, in the month On May the 8th the couple will celebrate their 22nd wedding anniversary, Monica is answering our 10 questions-in this case-nine! I apologize but the original version included answers from someone else. So, I have updated this.

She's made her own sacrifices to support her husband as he pursued his career.

She and Brad met at University of Florida, where she  graduated with a bachelors degree.

She started out as pre-med, but when Brad started playing for the Minnesota Vikings, Monica said she decided to study physical therapy at University of Minnesota.

It was a profession she was very passionate about. When Brad came back here to Florida, she worked  Shriners Children's Hospital in Tampa.

She said  when Brad was not playing during the off-seasons of the NFL, he would attend law school at the University of Florida and she worked at Shands Hospital in Gainesville .

Right now, she is busy raising the couple's three children ages 16, 14, and 12.

Monica said she is also committed to mentoring high school kids in Hillsborough County. She also enjoys volunteering in Tampa's community.

I have talked to Monica numerous times, she is just lovely. Beautiful on the outside and such a kind soul.

She has been featured in local articles about taking care of herself, including her exercising regiment.

I think she is a wonderful example off a woman who takes care o f herself. If you ask me....if we had a local "Most Beautiful" people, like they do in People magazine--Monica would grace the cover!

I hope you enjoy her 10 answers.......
