Getting to know local singer Lisa Casalino with this week's '10 questions'

Are you ever curious about the real lives of politicians, celebrities, local newsmakers and athletes? Who are their mentors and who would they really like to meet?

Each Tuesday, ABC Action News asks 10 questions of a Bay area leader or celebrity. They're fun questions that let you get to know the person.

This week we hear from singer Lisa Casalino.

Lisa is a New York native and moved here to the Bay area to further her teaching career.

She accepted a music instructor position at Durant High School in 1995.

Lisa taught for nearly a decade and loved it.  But in her heart, she knew she wanted more.

She decided to pursue her passion for singing as full time career. She had already worked part time at Stumps Supper Club in Channelside for several years and news of her talent quickly spread.

Lisa said one of her largest live audiences may have been when she sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" at Tropicana Field. Some 40,000 or so fans filled the stands for that game in 2010 when the Tampa Bay Rays defeated the New York Yankees.

Lisa does have a CD it is called "Introducing Lisa Casalino"
