Getting to know Dr. Sandy Goodman with The Reproductive Medicine Group with "10 questions"

We go beyond the questions that are news of the day. After all sometimes, we want know more about them. What's their favorite music? Greatest success? And who do they look up to?

This week, we hear from a local doctor whose literally changed thousands of live, giving families who struggled to have children, their greatest blessing.

Dr. Sandy Goodman with The Reproductive Medicine Group answers our 10 questions.

She specializes in treating patients with infertility issues and has extensive experience with a variety of infertility treatments.

Dr. Goodman has quite an impressive background. She received her undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis.

From there she attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

She then went to Harvard University's Brigham and Women's/Massachusetts General Hospital's Program for her   Obstetrics and Gynecology residency where she also served the coveted role of the Administrative Chief Resident.

Dr. Goodman was not done yet! She then went on for her fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institute.

In 2000, she joined The Reproductive Medicine Group and it has been a dream for her to help countless men and women start families.

She herself is the mother of three children, which she calls her greatest blessings.

5. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?  

I wish I was a little less compulsive, a little less of a perfectionist, a little more type B.

6. What do you consider your greatest success?  

My 3 amazing children, Danny, Jon and Becca  and having a role in helping thousands of childless couples to be blessed with the greatest gift of becoming parents through our work at The Reproductive Medicine Group

7. Tell us something about you most people don't know?

I was president of my college sorority.    

8. If you could have dinner with any three people, living or dead, who would they be?

Mahatma Gandhi, Helen Keller and Charles Krauthammer

9. What is in your fridge right now?  

Fresh fruits, vegetables, greek yogurt and fish.

10. If you could have a different career, other than what you're doing now, what would it

Daily, as a physician at The Reproductive Medicine Group, I am blessed with the opportunity to be able to use medical, surgical, low tech and high tech treatments to help couples emotionally and physically struggling with the inability to become pregnant, overcome their infertility and achieve their dream of becoming parents.  Each new life brings possibilities of changing and improving the world, transforming the parent's lives in the most wonderous ways,  forever.  I cannot imagine being in any other career that would bring me greater fulfillment or joy than being a Reproductive Endocrine/Fertility physician.
