UPDATE | All southbound lanes of I-75 at SR-52 have been reopened after crews repaired the roadway following a semi crash early Friday.
ORIGINAL STORY | All southbound lanes of I-75 at State Road 52 were shut down in San Antonio after a truck hauling pumpkins crashed early Friday morning.
As of 11:40 a.m. one lane of southbound I-75 was reopened to traffic at SR 52 (exit 285).
Crews are working to repave the asphalt that was damaged on the roadway during the crash. The second lane is expected to reopen around 3 p.m. Friday.
Heavy delays continue in the area. To avoid delays, motorists are advised to seek other routes by exiting at interchanges north of SR-52 and taking other southbound routes like US 301, US 41 or the Suncoast Parkway.
Florida Highway Patrol says the tractor trailer was traveling southbound on I-75 in the outside lane, north of SR-52 and went off the side of the roadway near the exit for SR-52 and collided with a crash attenuator at the exit ramp.

After impact, the tractor trailer traveled several hundred feet before coming to a rest in the outside lane and erupted into flames. The driver, identified as Lortatia Marshall, 44, of Georgia, exited the tractor trailer without injury. Marshall was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash and alcohol was not a factor, according to FHP.
FHP reported that extensive roadway repairs were necessary following the crash.

The truck caught fire around 4:30 a.m. on Friday at mile marker 285.5.
