SAINT PETERSBURG, Fla. - The 89th annual East West Shrine Game takes place today at Tropicana Field at 4 p.m.
The game features college all-star football players from across the country. The game has been a platform for excelling players to launch their NFL careers while helping a good cause. Harold Richardson, Executive Director of the East West Game, joins ABC Action News in studio Saturday morning to preview the game.
Proceeds raised during the game benefit Shriner's Hospitals for Children, something Hunter Woodhall knows something about. He is a patient ambassador for the hospital during the game. He suffered from a medical condition as a baby that affected his legs. At 11 months they were amputated at a Shriner's Hospital. Now Woodhall has an active life with the help of his different prosthetic legs.
