TAMPA - Here are five things you need to know happening in Florida on Tuesday, April 1, 2014.

(1) Polk County Election Day

Tuesday is Election Day in Polk County.

Five cities throughout the county are holding Municipal Elections today.

Registered voters living in Bartow, Davenport, Haines City, Lake Hamilton and Polk City can vote in today's elections. Polls in those cities will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Voters who requested a vote-by-mail ballot can only drop off their ballot at the Supervisor of Elections office. The deadline to do so is 7:00 p.m.

(2) Mayor's Challenge for Water Conservation

Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn is encouraging all city residents to participate in the Mayor's Challenge for Water Conservation.

The 30-day challenge seeks people to make online pledges to save water, energy and reduce waste. Last year homeowners from more than 1,000 cities across the country participated.

People living from cities with the highest percentage of pledges are entered into raffles that include hundreds of eco-friendly prizes and a Toyota Prius c hybrid car.

You can sign up to participate by visit www.mywaterpledge.com . The website also gives you tips on how to save water and energy.

(3) Reclaimed water restrictions

Pinellas County start reclaimed water seasonal restrictions on Monday. The restrictions limit reclaimed irrigation to three times a week during the spring dry season which lasts until June 30.

Addresses ending in an even number can water on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Addresses ending in an odd number or with a mixed address can water on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

There is no watering allowed on Mondays or during the day from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Violators of the waters restrictions may be issued a $193 fine.

(4) SUN 'n FUN International Fly-In & Expo

The 40th annual SUN 'n FUN International Fly-In & Expo opens on Tuesday at Lakeland Linder Regional Airport in Lakeland.
 
The six-day event will bring an anticipated 200,000 visitors to Polk County this week.
 
The Fly-In & Expo features airshows, exhibits and workshops.

Highlights of this year's SUN 'n FUN airshows include appearances by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday; and the GEICO Skytypers on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

(5) Target Tuesday

The Glazer Children's Museum is giving deal for families on Tuesday.

The museum is offering free admission prices for both children and adults from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. today. Children must be accompanied by adults and adults must be accompanied by children.

This month the Museum will have a special appearance by Super Why.

There will also by resource materials available today to keep children safe from child neglect provided by the Children's Board of Hillsborough County Keeping Kids Safe Partnership.
