TAMPA - Here are five things you need to know happening in Florida on Thursday, May 15, 2014.

(1) Allegiant Airlines adds new service

Allegiant Airlines adds new flights to the Tampa Bay area beginning on Thursday.

The discount airliner is adding non-stop seasonal service from Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) to St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE). The new flights will operate twice weekly until August 12, 2014.

"We are confident the community will appreciate the convenience of flying nonstop to these new destinations and the value of bundling their air, hotel and car rental reservation together," said Andrew C. Levy, Allegiant Travel Company President and COO.

Cincinnati becomes the 32nd different destination Allegiant flies to out of St. Pete-Clearwater.

(2) Delta 4 rocket launch

United Launch Alliance is scheduled to launch a Delta 4 rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station on Thursday.

The rocket is carrying the Air Force's sixth Block 2F navigation Global Positioning System satellite.

The $245 million GPS 2F-6 satellite will replace an aging satellite launched in October 1993.

Currently the Air Force is upgrading its GPS network with twelve Block 2F satellites. The full dozen satellites are scheduled to be in orbit by mid-2016.

(3) 2014 NCAA Division II South Region Baseball Tournament

The University of Tampa will host the 2014 NCAA Division II South Region Baseball Tournament beginning on Thursday.

Six schools will participate in the double-elimination tournament: Tampa, Stillman College, the University of Alabama at Huntsville, Delta State University, Lynn University and Florida Southern College.

The Tampa Spartans enter the tournament with a 47-2 record. It marks the 15th straight NCAA tournament appearance for UT. The Spartans won the Division II National Championship in 2006, 2007 and 2013.

Number 1 ranked Tampa is scheduled to play Stillman at 11:00 a.m., weather permitting.

(4) Disney on Ice presents Let's Celebrate!

Disney on Ice presents Let's Celebrate! invades the Tampa Bay Times Forum beginning on Thursday.

The all-new show features more than 50 characters from 16 Disney stories, including Tiana from Walt Disney Pictures' The Princess and the Frog.

Audiences will enjoy popular festivals including a winter wonderland with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, a Hawaiian luau with Lilo and Stitch and a Halloween haunt with the Disney villains.

Show times are Thursday and Friday at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday at 11:00 a.m., 3:00 and 7:00 p.m.; and Sunday at 1:00 and 5:00 p.m.

(5) International Santa Celebration

Hundreds of Santa Claus portrayers will be in Tampa on Thursday for the International Santa Celebration.

Children are invited to visit Santa's sleighs at the DoubleTree by Hilton Tampa Westshore from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. Attendees will be able to take a ride in Dick Conklin's World Famous Cyber Sleigh.

The Santas are also hosting a blood drive today. Their goal is 100 pints of blood collected.

Champion WWE wrestler, who also portrays Santa, will be in available for photos and autographs for anyone who donates blood.
