TAMPA - Here are five things you need to know happening in Florida on Thursday, April 25.

(1) Clearwater MDA boot drive

Clearwater firefighters are kicking off their 2013 Fill the Boot donation drive on Thursday. All donations will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Firefighters are taking their boots to nine intersections throughout Clearwater over the next three days:

  • Memorial Causeway and Island Way
  • Court Street & Ft. Harrison Avenue
  • Keene Road & Gulf to Bay Boulevard
  • Sunset Point Road & Belcher Road
  • Drew Street & Belcher Road
  • McMullen Booth Road & Drew Street
  • Belcher Road & Gulf to Bay
  • Countryside Boulevard & SR 580
  • Keene Road & Sunset Point Road

The firefighters will be at the intersections from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. today and Friday, and from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

(2) Buccaneers Draft Party

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are holding their 2013 NFL Draft Party at Raymond James Stadium on Thursday night.

New Buccaneer Darrelle Revis will be among nine Bucs players attending the party.

The night will be filled with exclusive entertainment, autograph opportunities and discounted food and beverage.

Season Pass Members will enjoy additional benefits including access to the Pirate Ship and the field, and special member gifts and drawing.

Other players scheduled to attend include Mark Barron, Adrian Clayborn, Lavonte David, Josh Freeman, Dashon Goldson, Davin Joseph, Doug Martin and Gerald McCoy.

Admission and parking to the Draft Party are free. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.

(3) Take Our Daughters and Sons To Work Day

Thursday is the annual Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.

The day encourages girls and boys throughout America to dream about a future without limitations based on gender.

Originally founded by Glorida Steinmen and the Ms. Foundation for Women in 1993, the program was expanded to include boys in 2003.

The day has generally been scheduled on a school day with schools encouraged to promote the program. Educators are provided with materials for incorporating career exploration into school curricula.

(4) 3 Free Bagel Day

Bruegger's Bagels is celebrating with its 30th birthday year with bagel giveaway on Thursday.

Through 2:00 p.m. guests who bring a coupon will receive three free bagels. You can download the coupon from Bruegger's Facebook page: www.facebook.com/brueggers .

The company is also raising money today for the Children's Miracle Network.

Specially marked collection canisters will be placed in each Bruegger's Bagels bakery so guests can donate to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals when they come in to get your free bagels.

(5) Star Trek: The Best of Both Worlds

Prepare to be assimilated on Thursday.

Seven Tampa Bay area theaters are showing a special screening of the digitally re-mastered Star Trek: The Next Generation two-part episode The Best of Both Worlds.

The episodes are being edited together into one continuous and uninterrupted story.

Audiences will also see special clips from "Regeneration: Engaging the Borg", a behind-the-scenes look at the making of The Best of Both Worlds.
