TAMPA - Here are five things you need to know happening in Florida on Monday, November 5.
(1) Mitt Romney campaigns in Florida
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney will hold on final pre-Election Day Florida in Sanford on Monday.
As part of the Romney-Ryan Real Recovery Road Rally, the former Massachusetts governor will attend a Victory Rally at Avion Jet Center located at the Orlando Sanford International Airport.
Doors to the event open at 6:30 a.m. with the program beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Tickets are required to attend the rally. Any remaining tickets can be obtained at www.mittromney.com/states/Florida .
ABC Action News will be streaming Romney's speech live on online.
(2) First Lady Michelle Obama in Florida
First Lady Michelle Obama will speak to supporters of her husband, President Obama, at a campaign rally in Orlando on Monday.
The First Lady will encourage Floridians to vote on Tuesday and help get every last supporter to the polls on Election Day.
Grammy Award winning singer Ricky Martin will also speak at the event prior to the First Lady's remarks.
The rally is free an open to the public but tickets are required due to limited space. Any remaining tickets can be obtained by visiting OFA.BO/orlando .
The event takes place at Southport Park on East Landstreet Road in Orlando. Doors to the rally open at 3:00 p.m.
(3) Brittany Miles attempted murder trial
Brittany Miles' trial for attempted murder on a law enforcement officer in Pasco County is scheduled to begin in New Port Richey on Monday.
On May 10, 2011, Miles was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. Deputies say Miles was able escape from the cruiser and fled in her truck.
Investigators say Deputy Ashley Grady attempted to pull the keys out of the truck's ignition but was shoved out of the vehicle onto U.S. 19 by Miles. Grady was seriously injured, suffering a broken leg, bruises and cuts.
Authorities say Miles then sped off north where she crashed into a motorcyclist in Spring Hill, killing Henry McCain.
In a separate case, Miles is facing a murder charge in Hernando County for the death of McCain.
Miles' trial is scheduled to begin with jury selection at 8:30 a.m. at the Pasco County Courthouse in New Port Richey.
(4) Paul Royster murder trial
Paul Royster's murder trial is scheduled to begin in Bradenton on Monday.
Royster is charged with the May 2011 murder of Orville Uhl and attempted murder of Jeremy Mitchell.
Authorities say the then 19-year-old, along with his younger brother Davon, killed Orville at a home in the 7000 block of 16th Street East in Bradenton in what was a drug-related shooting.
Prosecutors decided to try Davon Royster separately from his brother.
Paul Royster's trial is scheduled to begin with jury selection at 8:30 a.m. at the Manatee County Courthouse in Bradenton.
(5) United Airlines SRQ ribbon cutting ceremony
Congressman Vern Buchanan will attend a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday officially welcoming United Airlines back to Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ).
United Airlines began non-stop daily service from O'Hare International Airport (ORD) in Chicago to SQR on Sunday. The airliner will begin with one flight a day, but discussions are ongoing about adding additional United flights to Newark, Houston and Cleveland.
United's service replaces AirTran, which left the airport in August. United will use a Boeing 737 jet for the SRQ-ORD flights.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 11:45 a.m. at Gate B12.
