TAMPA - Here are five things you need to know happening in Florida on Friday, April 19.
(1) Reclaimed water outage
All southern Pinellas County reclaimed water customers will be without reclaimed water service for up to 48 hours beginning on Friday morning.
A contractor is conducting planned maintenance at the South Cross Bayou Water Reclamation Facility that will require reclaimed water to be shutoff. Workers are replacing a 48-inch reclaimed transmission valve at the facility.
The outage includes the reclaimed water fire hydrants in South Pasadena.
Service is expected to be restored by Sunday morning at the latest.
(2) LEGOLAND F-150 truck food can build
Mount Pleasant Middle School students will be at LEGOLAND Florida on Friday constructing a life-size red Ford F-150 truck out of more than 12,500 can food items.
Members of Feeding America Tampa Bay will assist in assembling the structure which will be built next to the Ford Driving School inside the park.
The truck will remain on display through Wednesday, April 24. LEGOLAND is offering $10 off admission to those who donate two or more nonperishable food items at the front gate while the structure is on display between April 19 and 25.
All food items used to build the structure and those collected during the course of the week will be donated to Feeding America Tampa Bay.
Singer Rihanna brings her
Diamonds World Tour to the Tampa Bay Times Forum on Friday night.
Since beginning her career in 2005, she has sold more than 30 million albums and 120 million singles worldwide.
Rihanna has charted ten #1 singles in the U.S. including 2006's
Take a Bow, and 2011's
We Found Love.
There are questions if Rihanna may cancel or postpone her Tampa concert. Earlier this week she postponed she show in Houston because of an illness. It was the fourth concert on her current tour to be canceled.
