5 things to know for Saturday, January 25

TAMPA BAY - 1. The Tampa Bay Home Show is this weekend in Saint Petersburg. The over 500 exhibit filled home improvement event is held at Tropicana Field. Parking and admission is free. Doors open at 10 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.

2. The annual Kumquat Festival kicks off in Dade City. Over 40,000 people are expected to attend the sweet event. It's even been voted one of the top 20 events to go to in the southeast. The festival runs from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. in downtown at Highway 52 and 301.

3. Oink, oink, oink! Pig Fest is taking over Tiger Stadium in Lakeland this weekend. If you like ribs and good ole barbecue head out to the pork filled festival. Cookers get going at 10 a.m. and cool off around 5 p.m.

4. If you kiddos have ever expressed an interest in aviation this is the perfect event to take them to. The Young Eagles Fly Rally takes place at Albert Whitted Airport in Saint Petersburg  from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Children ranging in age from eight to 17 can come take a ride in the cockpit of a plane and go for a ride with a licensed pilot. The event is put on by the Experimental Aircraft Association in hopes of inspiring children to take interest in aviation.

5. If you feel like braving downtown Tampa traffic head to the Tampa Bay Times Forum to catch the Lightning game. They take on Colorado's Avalanche at 7 p.m.
