5 things to know for Saturday, December 7th

TAMPA BAY - 1. USF hits the field today at Rutgers. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN 2. At noon you can watch Oklahoma take on Oklahoma State right here on ABC. At 8 p.m. FSU will take on Duke in the ACC championship, also on ABC. The SEC championship is also today, Missouri vs. Auburn. 

2. The circus is coming to MOSI. Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey clowns will be at MOSI today starting at 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. to teach children balancing, juggling and other circus trades. Admission is $5 on Saturday. 

3. Tampa's Santa Fest and Holiday Parade march into town today. The 31st annual event starts at 11 a.m. and features festive floats, marching bands, elves and, of course, Santa! The route starts at Morgan and Madison Streets. According to Santa's elves the best spots along the route are on Madison Street from Pierce to Tampa Street. Parade viewers are suggested to arrive around 9 a.m.

4. One of many holiday favorite traditions takes the stage tonight. The Nutcracker opens at the Straz Center. Tickets run between $20 and $65. 

5. The animals at Lowry Park Zoo are getting into the holiday spirit. The Wild Wonderland start today at the zoo and features real reindeer. The event runs until December 30. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and goes until 10 p.m. Tickets are $14 for adults, $11 for children ages 3-11 and free for children under 2.
