Valrico woman charged with animal cruelty for leaving dogs tethered outside in hot sun

The Hillsborough County Sheriff has charged a Valrico woman with two counts of aggravated animal cruelty.
According to Animal Control officials, Luciana Manganelli, 35, left two dogs named Bear and Lola tethered outside with no shade or water for several hours on Wednesday.
Neighbors could hear the dogs yelping in pain and called for help.
Animal Control arrived to find the dogs with extremely high body temperatures of 107 and 109 degrees.
The dogs are currently being held at animal services.
Manganelli was booked at the Hillsborough County Jail. She has since bonded out.
