Two masked men may be responsible for two separate robberies on two different sides of the county

Two masked men, and two robberies, 26 miles apart

VALRICO, Fla. - Authorities believe two men committed two separate robberies on two sides of the county.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, the first place that was hit was a Circle-K in Valrico, just off Lumsden Rd.  It was 12:07 a.m. Monday.

Two masked men, one wearing a bandana with a paisley print, the other wearing a hooded sweatshirt and zip-up hockey-style mask, burst into Circle-K.  A close look at the pictures and it appears as if one of the men is armed with a handgun.

Sheriff's spokesperson Debbie Carter said they busted in and demanded cash from the clerk.  They made off  with money, lottery tickets and a donation jar that was sitting on the counter.

Two hours later and 26 miles away at the corner of Casey Rd. and Ehrlich Rd., a 7-11 was hit.  Again two masked men, looking very much like the guys that robbed the Circle-K in Valrico, burst into the 7-11 at 2:15 a.m.

This time, though, the clerk saw them coming and hid in the cooler.  So, with no one at the counter, the two masked men made off with lottery tickets and cigarettes.

If you know who these guys are, you are being asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office or Crime Stoppers.
