A dog severely burned by her owner last month in Arcadia is scheduled for release Tuesday from hospital treatment.
Hope, who received her name from rescuers, needs daily care but has healed enough to leave 24-hour intensive care, according to BluePearl Veterinary Partners, the Tampa hospital that has been treating her.
She’ll get one last bandage change, therapy session and eye exam before leaving the hospital.
Larry Wallace, 66, her former owner, was charged April 14 with one count each of cruelty to animals and arson.
