Prosecutors have released portions of interviews with Julie Schenecker that police performed shortly after the fatal shooting of her children.
Schenecker’s lawyers are trying to get them thrown out of court.
Police said they found her passed out on her patio and covered in blood Jan. 28, 2011.
Officers found her children, Calyx, 16, and Beau, 13, shot to death upstairs.
The interviews took place hours after the slayings.
Schenecker told a detective she’d had three to four alcoholic drinks that night.
Schenecker, a former military intelligence officer and interrogator, slurred her words repeatedly as she explained how she picked up her children the afternoon of the slayings and drank alcohol with her prescription meds.
The detective asked if Schenecker was bipolar.
"I spent the last 8 weeks in bed,” she responded.
