SEFFNER, Fla. - The suspect in the deadly hit and run crash that killed a Seffner man has turn himself into police. Mac C. Joiner turned himself into the Orient Road Jail at around 8:30 this evening.
Deputies say joiner was aware of the media attention in the case and turned himself in
Hillsborough County deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call about a body that was found on the side of the road on South Parsons Avenue.
Deputies believe around midnight an unknown vehicle struck Woods as he was walking down the side of the road. The suspect vehicle kept driving. The impact tossed Woods onto the side of the road were he died from his injuries.
The body was identified as 25 year old Thomas Woods.
Detectives are on scene collecting evidence to learn more about the suspect vehicle.

Woods was from Texas, but had been living in different places in the southern parts of Hillsborough County. Detectives don't know why he was walking along Parsons Avenue at that hour.
