Study finds kids kept in daycare more likely to become obese

Research from the University of Montreal and the CHU Sainte-Justine Hospital Research Centre say kids between the ages of one and four who stayed with an extended family member or in a daycare were more likely to be become obese by the age of ten.

That's compared to children who were cared for at home by their parents.

Researchers have not yet figured out the reason behind the weight difference.

But they do say diet and exercise need to be closely watched if you have a child in daycare.
