Officials with Lakeland Fire Department said a young boy, probably under 10-years-old, intentionally set four fires in two different sections of a Walmart on Monday night.
Surveillance video shows the boy setting the fires inside at 5800 Highway 98 North around 5:15 p.m.
Investigators believe he picked up a grill lighter in the store, and used it to start the fires.
Firefighters said the fires were located at two separate sections of the store, one in the back and one in the front.
Employees were able to help put out the fires using fire extinguishers. Firefighters arrived and put out the remnants of the fire and secured the area.
The store was evacuated, but management at the 24-hour store reopened unaffected areas Monday night.
No one was hurt in the incident, and damage is estimated at around $2,000.
