The City of Baltimore is getting ready to enforce one of the strictest curfew laws for minors in the United States.
Later this summer, the city is expected to start enforcing the new curfew with hopes it will help curb teen and youth violence. Proponents behind the push for the stricter law are seeing more and more criticism from residents and civil-rights advocates.
For the most part, states let cities and counties decide what curfew laws in their communities will be. Because of this, laws across the country vary and can change.
