TAMPA, Fla. - The body of a fallen Largo soldier is arriving at Tampa International Airport Wednesday night. SPC Justin Adams, 21, died Friday, Nov. 22, when his Humvee fell into a river in South Korea, where he was stationed.
The Patriot Guard riders will assist in the escort of Adams from Tampa International Airport to Moss Feaster Funeral Home in Clearwater around 11 p.m. Adams was engaged to be married and wrote in a Facebook post that he was coming home Dec. 19.
Adams served in the Army as a Field Artillery Data Specialist. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 15th Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team headquartered at Camp Harvey in South Korea. He and another soldier died in the accident.
A memorial was held for the soldiers at Camp Hovey.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
