GOLDEN GATE - Authorities in Collier County canceled dual AMBER Alerts for two teen girls after they were found in Kentucky with a Missouri man one of the girls apparently met online.
According to Collier County Sheriff's spokesperson Michelle Batten, 15-year-old Tatiana Rosado and 14-year-old Megan Morris were last seen around 3:30 p.m. Saturday leaving Rosado's home on Tropicana Boulevard to take her dog for a walk, before being found in Kentucky on Sunday night.
Batten said detectives learned Rosado had been in contact online with the 22-year-old Ivan Eugene Coleman.
The Golden Gate, Fla. girls were allegedly traveling with Coleman when they were found.
Batten said investigators received information the vehicle was in Kentucky before they were found, but they were still gathering information from Kentucky authorities on exactly how the trio was taken into custody.
"The girls are safe and in custody," Batten said. "[Coleman] is in custody, but has not been charged with a crime yet. Up until now, the focus of the investigation was locating the girls. Now it turns to possible charges."
Investigators will have to decide whether to charge Coleman locally or federally after allegedly crossing state lines with the girls.
