CHIPLEY, FL -- Search teams looking for a missing 7-month-old girl scoured dense vines and marshes for a second day Monday.

7-month-old Shannon Dedrick was last seen at her Chipley home early Saturday morning. She is described as a white female, 2 feet tall, and weighing 11 pounds.

She has brown hair and blue eyes.

Authorities believe she disappeared from her home sometime before 8 a.m. Saturday. Her parents reported her missing around 11 a.m.

The sheriff's office and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement would not identify the girl's parents, saying only that the couple is talking to investigators. They also would not discuss why the girl wasn't reported missing until so late in the morning Sunday.

There is no indication that the child was abducted. If you know where the child is you are urged to call the Washington County Sheriff's Office at 850-638-6111 or call 911.
