11 students taken to hospital following school bus accident

RUSKIN, FL -- The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is working a school bus accident in Ruskin where several students are being treated for minor injuries.

According to deputies, the bus was headed to Beth Shields Middle School when it crashed into a Terminix truck at an intersection on 21st Avenue South East.

Deputies say the driver of the bus violated the right of way and turned into the path of the truck driver.  39 children were on the bus.  11 of them were taken to area hospitals as a precaution. 

Both drivers were uninjured.

The school bus driver, Olga Guerrero, was cited for violation of right of way.
