Wordier Than Thou is a literary arts organization dedicated to supporting authors and readers in the Tampa Bay area.
Wordier Than Thou’s Read No More project is a unique take on the classic haunted house experience.
For our Gulfport Murder House, we’ve invited four local writers to write a short scary play that will be performed in a different room of the house. Attendees will tour this series of plays, each featuring a murder that took place in the house during a different decade. Our 2018 writers are Deborah Frethem, Erika Lance, K.L. Nappier and Cathy Salustri.
This year, we’re also introducing the Ybor City Haunted Theater, which features four short plays by C. A. Bellamy, Josh Darling, Deborah Frethem and Erika Lance. Drinks will be available for donation at this venue.
Gulfport Murder House (3009 54th St. S., Gulfport, 33707) - Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 19-20, 26-27 with tours at 6, 7, 8, and 9 p.m.
Ybor City Haunted Theater (Silver Meteor Gallery, 2213 E. 6th Ave., Tampa, 33605) - Sunday, Oct. 21 with tours at 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 p.m.
Advance tickets are $14 per venue or $25 for both. Tickets for each tour are $17 at the door.
