The Tulip Time on the Rhine tour included stops in Holland, France and Switzerland.

Travel documents show Jean Rosario paid $429 for trip insurance, but then health issues forced her to cancel in November. But after five weeks, Rosario says no one returned her call regarding a refund.

So we contacted Mayflower tours and asked about the insurance that covered cancelations. They gave no explanation, but said it would be taken care of.

Less than an hour later, the travel company contacted Rosario to confirm they would process her refund of about $3,500.

In an email, Mayflower Tours told us, “Ms. Rosario was always going to receive her refund. It was just something that was being worked out between our company and the insurance company.”

Now if you are dealing with a problem with your own travel agent you should contact Florida's Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The agency regulates travel companies who do business in Florida. You can file a complaint online or call them at 800 HELP FLA.
