For $1,700 a Zephyrhills couple did not expect to spend part of every day mopping up water.

The stainless steel fridge was just weeks old when it sprang a leak. Thomas Rich said the water would run down the outside and the inside of the unit.

Rich found getting a fix for the leaky ice box proved to be easier said than done. He showed us notes of calls going back and forth between Samsung. Four months and two service calls later he and his wide are stuck with a leaky ice box.

We found someone at Samsung who was willing to listen. The next day the company contacted Rich to notify him he would be getting a full refund.

A Samsung spokesperson told us:

“We regret the experience that Mr. Rich had...and will carefully review Mr. Rich's experience in an effort to constantly improve our processes."

Days later Samsung mailed Rich a full refund so now he can afford to replace his leaky appliance.
