Small business owners Jessica Strausse and Ronald Scott planned a long weekend in the Keys. Their first since the first of their four children was born more than a decade ago.

The couple shelled out $400 for a plane fare with the departure set for September 16. Then Irma decimated paradise and their plans for a kid free get away.

With baby number 5 on the way the couple asked Silver Airlines for a refund since they would not be able to rebook.

Scott made repeated calls to Silver Airlines but says he was either put on hold for hours or was disconnected.

Frustrated the couple made a call for action and we relayed their complaint to Silver.

Silver refunded the couple's money to their checking account this week.

As for others, a Silver spokesperson explained, "we had weather waivers in place to support customers affected by the storm." Meaning the airline waved change fees for anyone else who needed to reschedule trips to the Keys.
