GoBankingRates.com analyzed monthly expenditures for all major U.S. cities and compiled a list of cities where it's possible to live for under $1,000 a month. The findings are based on the assumption that you own your home, making your only housing expenses property taxes and maintenance costs. The budget also includes utilities, groceries and health care.
