Friday, October 6

Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Florida Panthers

Hockey season is here! Come watch the Tampa Bay Lightning host the Florida Panthers during the season opener at Amalie Arena on Friday. The Sunshine State matchup begins at 7:30 p.m. 

Bill Burr at The Mahaffey Theater

Hilarious comedian Bill Burr is coming to downtown St. Petersburg for one night only! Burr will be performing at The Mahaffey Theater Friday night at 7 p.m. Tickets begin at $42.50. 

Band of Horses at Jannus Live

Get ready to jam out! Band of Horses will be performing at Jannus Live in St. Petersburg on Friday night starting at 8 p.m. General admission costs $29.50. 

NY Dog Film Festival in Tampa

Perfect for dog lovers of all ages, the NY Dog Film Festival will feature two programs, each of which a different medley of documentary, animated and live-action short canine-themed films from around the world. The NY Dog Film Festival is a philanthropic celebration of the love between dogs and people. Attendees are encouraged to bring their dogs as their movie dates! Well-mannered dogs are welcome and required to have their own tickets, with 100% of the dog ticket going to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. The event kicks off at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Tampa Bay Waterworks Park Friday evening. 

The 4th Annual Tampa Tattoo Arts Convention

Calling all ink lovers! The 4th Annual Tampa Tattoo Arts Convention kicks off for a weekend-long event at the Tampa Convention Center. Special contestants from Ink Master will also be there. All ages are welcome and tickets cost $20. 

Saturday, October 7

Chris Tucker with DL Hughley at Amalie Arena 

Get ready to laugh! Actor and comedian Chris Tucker will be hitting the stage at Amalie Arena Saturday at 8 p.m. He will be joined on stage with special guest DL Hughley. Tickets start at $41.75. 

Anderson Cooper with Andy Cohen at Straz Center

Join Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper for an unscripted, uncensored and unforgettable night of conversation. The late-night talk show host and the journalist, longtime friends, interview each other and take questions from the audience. It's a live, interactive look behind the scenes of pop culture and world events. The show begins at 8 p.m. at the Straz Center. Tickets start around $60. 

27th Annual SPCA Tampa Bay Pet Walk

Want to walk and help raise money for adoptable pets in the Tampa Bay area? The  27th Annual SPCA Tampa Bay Pet Walk fundraiser helps raise thousands of dollars and spreads awareness for the needs of pets and wildlife in our community. This family-friendly event boasts music, food, demonstrations, contests, adoptable animals, representatives from local rescues, great shopping and more! The walk starts at 8:30 a.m. at Vinoy Park in St. Pete. Click here to register.

Yboar City Bacon Brew and BBQ Festival

Bacon. Beer. BBQ. What more could you want in life? The Yboar City Bacon Brew and BBQ Festival offers a variety of food trucks and restaurants serving their best bacon, BBQ and dessert dishes. Come join the fun with live music and plenty of beer selection at the corner of Palm and Nebraska in Ybor City. This pet-friendly event is free to attend. 

Pretty in Pink 5K & 10K

Support breast cancer research and celebrate the color pink with a 5K or 10K! The race begins Sunday morning at 6:15 a.m. at Del Oro Park in Clearwater. 

Humane Society of Tampa Bay Annual Pumpkin Patch

Support homeless pets by dropping by the Humane Society of Tampa Bay’s annual pumpkin patch to pick up a pumpkin! Prices range from $5-$25. The patch is also a wonderful place to get festive photos of your children and/or pets decked out for the fall season!
