ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Fourth of July weekend is typically filled with fireworks, sparklers, watermelon and ice cream. Sean Daly decided to explore another American pastime at Fort De Soto park.
Fort De Soto park offers endless activities that can be done while staying at one of their campsites. Campsite fees range from $30-$35 per night and offer amenities like water, grills, restrooms and shower areas.
Local outdoors store Bill Jackson's joined Sean out at the campsite sharing some of the items you can't camp without, or would be more comfortable camping with.
The campsites sit along the water front offering serene views of the gorgeous blue-green water.
Campers can explore the parks fort, yes the fort De Soto. There is also a pier for fishing, kayaking, boat launches and a dog beach for the family's four legged friend.
