Rescues in Action: Cesar and Cameron

Meet Cesar and Cameron, two opposite ends of the spectrum in the Poodle breed. These two pups are from Florida Poodle Rescue.

Cesar is a small 10-year-old mini who came from Miami Dade in rough shape. He had kennel cough, ticks and an ear infection. He was also very lethargic and it was soon determined that this little man has diabetes. He is currently on 2 insulin shots a day and his sugar levels have become pretty stable according to the vet. The cost of insulin is inexpensive especially purchased at Walmart or Sam's (about 1/3 the cost of a pharmacy). He takes his shots like a trooper, no issues at all. Cesar is a sweet mellow boy who enjoys going to the dog park and meeting other dogs. He loves people and kids. He likes a good rest when he gets home. His right eye having cataracts is not so good but he sees very well out of his good eye! His hearing is VERY good too! He is a very nice guy who will make someone very happy when they meet him! He's gotten much spunkier after he was groomed!

Cameron is a black four-year-old Standard Poodle. He is a healthy 61 pound male with beautiful teeth and the darkest black coat. He is a dream for grooming, he loves to ride in a car and is a wonderful traveler. He loves playing with toys and loves to go for long walks or runs daily. A fenced in yard is a must for him. He does have a very strong prey drive and will chase after small things that move quickly! Cats and children are not recommended.

He is housebroken and crate trained. Cameron is an alpha and doesn't always do well with other large dogs, especially if they lock eyes with him. His fosters are working on this. At home, he is a real love and gets along well with the other dogs in the house. They are medium sized and mellow dogs. Cameron always wants to be near his person and loves to get attention. He likes to give kisses. He gives little love nibbles too. His ideal adopter is someone who is a confident and experienced dog owner who can give him lots of attention, love, structure and will exercise him regularly. He is a wonderful dog.
