Man over comes extreme odds to compete in 2014 Paratriathlon Florida Regional Championship

SAINT PETERSBURG, Fla. - Rajesh Durbal can be identified as a triple amputee, but really he's much more than that. With only the use of one arm, Durbal has set his sights on becoming an inspirational athlete who proves to others that nothing should stop you from doing what you believe in.

He is competing in Saint Anthony's Sprint Triathlon which was selected as the 2014 Paratriathlon Florida Regional Championship event. The race will be a pre-qualifier for those hoping to make the U.S. paralympic team for the paratriathlon, debuting at the 2016 Paralympics in Rio.

This isn't Durbal's first triathlon. He is a regular competitor participating in full triathlons. He was the triple amputee to participate in, and complete the Hawaii Kona Iron Man.

Apart from his athletics, Durbal is also a motivational speaker. His foundation, Live Free , aims to help people who are lost in life and suffering from physical and mental ailments.

Participants can cheer him on tomorrow morning in St. Petersburg.
