Recipe for Green Onion Black Pepper Dumpling

Cook time: 20 minutes
Serves: 6

2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon salt
3 ½ teaspoons baking powder
1 ¼ cups milk
4 ½ Tablespoons vegetable oil
½ cup minced green onions
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

1.    Mix together flour, salt, and baking powder.  
2.    Add remaining ingredients and mix just until combined
3.    To cook the dumplings, spoon the dumpling mixture into a large pot of simmering soup.  (The dumplings should be about ¼ cup each.)  Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.  Then, cover the pot and continue to simmer for 10 more minutes.
