Everyday Adventure: Terry hangs with monkeys at Suncoast Primate Sanctuary

PALM HARBOR, Fla. - The Suncoast Primate Sanctuary Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization home to over 70 animals including Chimpanzees, Orangutans, Monkeys, Reptiles, Tropical Birds, and more.

Whether coming to the Sanctuary after no longer being able to be cared for as a personal pet or retiring from the laboratory and film industries, the Sanctuary provides a safe haven where the animals can spend the rest of their lives in peace and with dignity. The Sanctuary is run entirely by volunteers and relies on the generosity of the community and local businesses.

The Sanctuary is open to the public Thursday through Sunday 10a.m. to 4 p.m. The suggested donation for admission is: Adult, $10; Children 3- to 10-years-old, $5; Under 3, Free. The Sanctuary is located at 4600 Alternate Highway 19, Palm Harbor, Florida 34683.
