Easter egg hunts and events in Tampa

Here are some Easter egg hunts and other events going on around Tampa Bay this weekend.

 

Glazer Children's Museum Tampa

Saturday March 30, 2013 8:30am - 10:00am

Light breakfast, egg and prize hunting. separate toddler egg hunt for kids ages 3 and younger.

General admission is $12 members are free

 

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is hosting egg hunts, Easter crafts, pictures with the Easter bunny and more. Where: Bird Gardens, Near Xcursions

Egg Hunt with prizes, five times daily. Every child is a winner and gets a gift; but can you find the golden egg? Egg hunt times: 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m. & 5 p.m.
Crafts: Kids and parents can decorate a bunny mask or visor. Pictures with the Easter bunny, games and three different picture packages to choose from with the Easter bunny.

2. Participation in Egg Hunt and Craft Session only: $5

Underwater Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt, kids ages 12 and younger will receive a special clue sheet for an adventurous scavenger hunt to find the Easter eggs hidden underwater throughout the galleries. After all eggs have been found, turn in your clue sheet at the Guest Services Desk for a special prize!
 
Diving Easter bunny and pictures in Taylor Great Room from 10:00am – 2:00pm each day. A special appearance by The Florida Aquarium Mermaids will take place at 10:00am, 11:30am, 2:00pm and 3:30pm during the holiday weekend. There is also an Easter picnic in the Explore A Shore Pavilion that includes country fried chicken, BBQ ribs, baked beans, potato salad, cole slaw, corn bread, assorted cookies and brownies, lemonade and sweet tea all for one price. Picnic will be available from 11:00am - 3:30pm. Visit the Florida Aquarium online for tickets in advance.

 

Clearwater Easter Egg Hunt in Coachman Park Sunday, March 31, 2013

12:00pm - 2:00 pm, petting zoo, pony rides, bouncy house, giant blow up slide, face painting, live entertainment.

Saturday, March 30, 10:00am

29th annual Easter egg hunt for children ages 2-10. Children will be divided into age groups and will be collecting over 12,000 eggs.  Golden eggs will be mixed into each age level which entitles the finder a chance to win a bicycle, toys and other great prizes. Bring your camera to get a picture with the Easter bunny!

Dunedin helicopter egg drop at Highlander Park

Saturday, March 30 11:00am - 2:00pm, free, parking $5

Thousands of eggs will rain down on the park. Enjoy activities like bounce houses, balloon animals, games, crafts, pictures with the Easter bunny.
