Thirteen people rescued from the intracoastal waterway after jumping from a sinking boat. A boat captain with StarLite Cruises was nearby and quickly came to the rescue.

Customers at the Red Lion Pub on Gulf Boulevard are rattled. Pinellas County deputies said it appears 50-year-old Jim Klingbeil went on a stabbing spree Sunday night after a bartender refused to serve him more alcohol.

After double-amputee Robert Lunay fell into a pond behind the DAV, two bystanders, Robert Fields and Norman Steers, heard him calling for help and jumped in to rescue him. A third man, Robert Baca, also ran to the lake and helped bring Lunay to shore along with his wheelchair.

The Florida Highway Patrol says a Clearwater woman died early Thursday morning after she was struck by a car. The driver fled and his car was later found abandoned. Officers later located the driver who could face charges.
