I-75 in Hillsborough County had the most traffic troublespots during the AM commute Monday

TAMPA, Fla. - Here's a rundown of the traffic news for Monday morning, February 20.

8:59 -- W TAMPA: Columbus Dr Bridges CLOSES Tuesday @ 5am. Will be closed until May. Detour: MLK via Howard/Armenia or North Blvd.

8:52 -- LAND O LAKES: Crash w/roadblock reported on SR-52 @ Secretariat Rd, between US-41 & Ehren Cutoff. 

8:50 -- I-75 DRIVE TIME northbound from I-4 to Fowler Ave approximately 10 minutes. #Tampa

8:47 -- I-75 NORTHBOUND is jammed up from north of I-4 to approaching Fowler Ave. Crash originally reported north of Fowler Ave is actually south of there.

8:39 -- HOLIDAY: Accident on SB US-19 past Louis Ave. No roadblock or injuries reported.

8:31 -- I-75 TAMPA: Still not seeing any delays NB near Fowler Ave, but FHP has report of a crash with roadblock beyond there.

8:29 -- HOWARD FRANKLAND DRIVE TIME of > 10 minutes from Ulmerton in St. Pete to the Westshore area of Tampa.

8:25 -- I-75 HILLSBOROUGH UPDATE: Crash NB between Gibsonton Dr & US-301 just cleared & traffic is back up to speed.

8:23 -- CLEARWATER: Police working crash on Belcher & Belleair.

8:20 -- TAMPA: Crash reported WB Adamo/SR-60 @ US-301. No roadblock.

8:18 -- I-275/HOWARD FRANKLAND: Crash southbound approaching the St. Pete side of the bridge. On outside shoulder. No delays.

8:17 -- I-75 TAMPA: Crash reported w/roadblock between Fowler & Fletcher. Traffic moving fine near Fowler per my traffic cams.

8:15 -- TAMPA's downtown junction (SB I-275, WB I-4) is moving without delays thanks to a lighter-than-usual AM commute courtesy of Presidents Day.

7:59 -- NEW PORT RICHEY: Accident on US-19 @ Gulf Dr.

7:55 -- I-75 UPDATE: Per Captain Al in Action Air 1, crash northbound is halfway between Gibsonton Dr and US-301. No roadblock, but visual delays there.

7:50 -- TAMPA/LOWRY PARK: Crash on Busch Blvd @ Orange Grove Rd.

7:48 -- I-75 UPDATE: Found the crash. Car up on inside median divider. NB 75 approaching US-301. Visual delays there. #Hillsborough County

7:46 -- I-275: Minor delays now NB from the Tampa end of the Howard Frankland to Westshore area.

7:43 -- I-75: Hearing calls for service regarding a rollover ax on 75 near the Selmon, but my cams are clear there. I'm having Capt Al head that way.

7:28 -- I-275 UPDATE: Capt Al found the crash SB @ the ramp to Memorial/TIA. It's very minor and well off to the shoulder of the road.

7:23 -- BROOKSVILLE: Crash w/injuries and roadblock on Cortez Blvd/SR-50 @ Spring Lake Hwy. #Hernando County

7:19 -- I-75: Crash reported SB approaching Cortez Rd (Exit 301) in Brooksville. FHP responding.

7:18 -- TAMPA: I-275: Accident reported SB @ the ramp to Memorial Hwy/TIA. If it's there, it's not causing any delays that I can see on my cameras.

7:10 -- I-4 is delay free right now into downtown Tampa.

7:09 -- I-275 is moving great in both directions between the I-75 Apex and the I-4 junction in downtown Tampa.

6:58 -- SEMINOLE UPDATE: FHP reports roadblock due to crash on Starkey @ Jacaranda (near 86th Ave N).  Seminole Blvd is an alternate.

6:55 -- BRANDON: Accident involving HCSO vehicle. No injuries. Brandon Blvd near Kings Ave.

6:52 -- GIBSONTON: Crash on US-41 @ Gibsonton Dr. No roadblock reported to FHP.

6:48 -- SEMINOLE: EMS responding to accident on Starkey Rd @ Jacaranda, north of Park Blvd.

6:47 -- GULF TO BAY DRIVE TIME between Memorial Cswy Bridge at Clearwater Beach and the Courtney Campbell Cswy = > 15 minutes.

6:45 -- APEX traffic getting heavy SB per Captain Al's live pictures from Action Air 1, but Al says traffic is slightly lighter than usual.

6:41 -- TAMPA: HCSO has report of accident @ Anderson Rd & Linebaugh Ave.

6:29 -- BRADENTON: Accident but no roadblock reported on Cortez @ 26th St W 

6:28 -- HOWARD FRANKLAND DRIVE TIME on NB I-275 from Ulmerton Rd to the Kennedy/TIA exits = 7 minutes.

6:21 -- POLK PKWY DRIVE TIME of 10 minutes in either direction between Bartow Rd & I-4 (west end)

6:17 -- ORLANDO ALERT: Overnight fatal crash has the WB I-4 ramp to EB 192/Bronson Memorial Hwy closed. FHP is detouring traffic there.

6:07 -- VETERANS EXWY DRIVE TIME of > 15 minutes SB from Van Dyke Rd to I-275 ramps near TIA.

6:01 -- INTERSTATES and bridges are accident and delay free.

5:43 -- I-75 DRIVE TIME southbound from the Apex (Hillsborough/Pasco line) to I-4 in Tampa = 12 minutes.

5:39 -- US-19 DRIVE TIME between Klosterman Rd in Palm Harbor and E Bay Dr in Largo = 16 minutes.

5:18 -- TAMPA: Reminder that the Columbus Dr Bridge CLOSES on Tuesday morning. Traffic will be detoured to MLK Jr Blvd, accessible from Howard/Armenia or North Blvd. Closure expected for approximately three months.

5:08 -- EGYPT LAKE/TAMPA: HCSO on scene of a crash on Paris St between Habana & Gomez. Residential. Happened before 4am.

5:03 -- I-4 DRIVE TIME of > 15 minutes westbound between McIntosh Rd and I-275 in downtown Tampa.

4:53 AM -- Interstates and bridges are accident free! No school today in Polk, Pasco, Manatee, Sarasota counties for Presidents Day.
