TAMPA, Fla. - The trouble spots on Wednesday morning were along I-75 southbound near Fowler Avenue in Tampa, and I-275 southbound near Roosevelt in St. Petersburg. Also during the morning drive, Captain Al Taylor happened upon a devastating house fire in Sulphur Springs. Here's a recap of the AM drive, as it happened. 9:16 UPDATE: NB I-75 improving near Fowler, but southbound is still stacked up. Crash on the Fowler ramp to SB I-75 is still blocking a lane.

8:04 -- INDIAN ROCKS UPDATE: Sounds like a burnt belt in the air handler at Largo Med Center - Indian Rocks caused the kerfuffle this AM.
7:58 -- I-4 TAMPA: Crash reported WB near MLK, but my cameras show traffic moving fine there. WB I-4 *is slow from 50th St through I-275.

7:54 -- CLEARWATER/DUNEDIN: Crash w/roadblock reported on US-19 @ Evans, north of Main.

7:43 -- I-275 SB in St. Pete moving with only minor delays near Roosevelt Blvd now.
7:30 -- I-275 ST. PETE UPDATE: All lanes now open SB near Roosevelt. Traffic still jammed in that area. Expect delays or use 4th St N.
7:28 -- I-75 SOUTHBOUND crash is just under the SR-56 ramps. It's on the shoulder, but traffic is jammed up back to SR-54.
7:21 -- I-4 WB is slow at MLK, but the interstate is currently accident free.
7:19 -- ST. PETE: Crash SB 275 near Roosevelt still blocking 2 lanes, and now jamming up the on-ramps to the interstate. AVOID! Use 19 or 4th St.
7:17 -- TAMPA/LAKE MAGDALENE: Crash on Bearss Ave @ Lake Emerald Blvd.
7:12 -- I-275 ST. PETERSBURG has about a 1.5-mile backup now approaching Roosevelt due to accident. To avoid delays, exit at 4th St N.
7:11 -- I-75 SB JAMMED from SR-54 in Wesley Chapel to the Apex due to earlier crash past 56. Generally slow beyond there to Fletcher.
7:08 -- I-275 ST. PETERSBURG: 2 lanes blocked SB near Roosevelt by crash. Several fire/rescue units on scene. Expect delays!
7:03 -- DUNEDIN: Crash w/roadblock @ intersection of Keene Rd @ Main St.
6:58 -- E TAMPA: Flames doused on Kirby @ Marks, but a lot of smoke there per Action Air 1's live pictures.
6:57 -- NEW PORT RICHEY: Crash on Little Rd @ Ridge Rd. FHP reports roadblock in SW corner of intersection.
6:52 -- ST. PETERSBURG: Crash on MLK/9th St N just north of 54th Ave.
6:48 -- VETERANS EXWY DRIVE TIME from Lutz Lake Fern to I-275 Exits = 15 minutes.
