Traffic, parking concerns at USF Tuesday due to concert, sports

TAMPA - USF TRAFFIC ALERT:

• Sun Dome parking lots, except Lot 22A, are CLOSED today in preparation for tonight's concert by Florence and the Machine. Cars that park in Lot 22A must exit the lot by 5:30PM, or they will be ticketed. Lot 22A will be accessible by driving north on Maple Drive from Alumni Drive.
• USF will create an overflow parking lot for E permit holders in the field north of the College of Business. This lot will be available during daytime hours only, and all cars must exit the lot by 7:00PM This lot will be accessible by driving south on Maple Drive.
• Research Park parking lots will be available as overflow parking for E and S permit holders on Tuesday. Bull Runner Shuttles A and D offer regular shuttle service from Research Park to the Library, and Shuttle E transports passengers from the Library back to the Research Park. In addition, the Crescent Hill and Laurel Garages typically have available parking spaces and offer regular, convenient shuttle service. These lots may be especially helpful for people seeking parking spots during the day.
• After 5:30PM, cars with valid USF parking decals (except Y) may park in most campus lots, excluding Resident and Reserved parking spaces.
• If you plan to attend the USF Mens' soccer game, please consider taking Holly Avenue to Sycamore Drive to avoid traffic congestion.
• Unless you are attending the concert or have other business in the area, it is recommended that you avoid the Southeast section of the USF Tampa campus between 5:30-11:30PM.

AM DRIVE UPDATES:

8:45 -- I-275 ST. PETERSBURG: FHP reporting accident SB near I-175 ... but my traffic cameras don't show any delays anywhere on 275 in Pinellas.

8:39 -- PASCO COUNTY - HUDSON: Accident reported at US-19 & New York Ave.

8:38 -- I-4 TAMPA: Westbound traffic still has about a one-mile backup from the 275 interchange. Otherwise, I-4 looks OK in Hillsborough & Polk.

8:30 -- PINELLAS PARK: Accident on 49th St N & Park Blvd.

8:25 -- PASCO CO - ZEPHYRHILLS: Crash with roadblock reported at Dean Dairy Rd & Eiland Blvd.

8:19 -- HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY - RIVERVIEW: Crash w/injuries at US-301 & Boyette Rd. Traffic already slow NB 301, westbound Boyette.

8:16 -- E TAMPA: Westbound SR-60/Adamo slow near 78th St. Accident reported there.

8:08 -- I-275 TAMPA: Accident on the NB 275 off-ramp to Ashley Dr. Southbound 275 traffic typically through the junction.

8:03 -- N TAMPA: Very slow @ intersection of Waters Ave & Habana. "Obstruction" reported. Could be malfunctioning traffic signal.

7:55 -- POLK CO - WINTER HAVEN: Crash reported on Snively Ave & American Superior Blvd. Snively makes me think of a cartoon villain.

7:43 -- I-75 TAMPA: FHP just got a call about a crash on southbound 75 at Exit 270/Bruce B Downs. Traffic already backed up there w/usual rush.

7:40 -- ST. PETERSBURG: New crash reported @ 54th Ave N & 66th St. Also have a crash at 66th & Park Blvd causing delays.

7:28 -- PINELLAS PARK UPDATE: WB Park Blvd blocked at 66th St. Crash involves motorcycle. 78th or 70th aves. are Park alt. Expect delays on 66th.

7:23 -- TAMPA - TOWN N COUNTRY: Crash on Hillsborough west of Sheldon @ Tudor. Hillsborough generally slow from west of Memorial thru Veterans.

7:15 -- PLANT CITY: @HC_Sheriff directing traffic at SR-60 & Turkey Creek Rd. Traffic signal malfunctioning.

7:09 -- PINELLAS PARK: Crash reported @ 66th St N & Park Blvd.

6:58 -- I-4 TAMPA: Stalled vehicle westbound approaching I-275 is jamming traffic up early.

6:49 - PLANT CITY: Hard to tell, but it does look like the crash on County Line Rd @ ramp to EB I-4 *is slowing traffic there.

6:46 -- PLANT CITY: Accident reported on County Line Rd near the ramp to eastbound I-4.

6:45 -- PALM HARBOR: Minor accident reported northbound US-19 approaching Klosterman Rd. Earlier car fire US-19/Nebraska moved to parking lot.

6:41 -- CLEARWATER: Minor crash reported at Meadow Brook Dr & Union St (west of McMullen Booth)

6:33 -- PALM HARBOR: Vehicle fire reported at US-19 & Nebraska.

6:11 -- LAND O LAKES UPDATE: FHP says there's some roadblock in a turn lane at SR-54 & Ballantrae Blvd.

6:07 -- PASCO CO -- LAND O LAKES: Accident reported SR-54 & Ballantrae Blvd.

6:00 -- I-4 looking good this AM. Drive time westbound from US-98 in Lakeland to I-75 in Tampa = 21 minutes.

5:34 -- LAKELAND: Crews still working to repair a small sinkhole that opened Monday in middle of Kathleen Rd near Old Kathleen intersection.

5:22 -- I-275 TAMPA: Osbourne Ave and westbound Hilsborough Ave are still closed under I-275, but will reopen by 6AM. MLK is the alternate route.
