Traffic notes for Thursday, June 14: What you need to know before you go today

TAMPA -  

BAYWAY BRIDGE will be closed EB 9 AM-4 PM for construction of new bridge. Traffic will be detoured to the Corey Causeway.

HART is proposing bus service and fare changes, effective Nov. 11, 2012. Proposed service modifications will impact the following bus routes: 30, 34, 37, 28X, 50X, 61LX, Brandon HARTFlex and bus service on holidays. HART will hold a series of meetings to provide information to residents about changes to routes and fares, and obtain feedback. Hand-out materials will be provided today 4-6 PM at HART Britton Plaza Transfer Center
and 5:15-7:30 PM Mount Zion Assembly of God, 3005 Thonotosassa Road, Plant City.

8:30 -- COURTNEY CAMPBELL: WB traffic at a standstill now through Rocky Point. EB delays due to onlookers + sun in drivers' eyes.

8:26 -- COURTNEY CAMPBELL: Only left lane gets by accident WB at Rocky Point. Traffic jammed to Veterans Expressway.

8:24 -- I-4 UPDATE: All lanes now open WB over Orient Rd. Traffic should get back up to speed soon.

8:18 -- COURTNEY CAMPBELL: EMS on scene of crash WB in Rocky Point area. #Traffic jammed toward Clearwater.

8:16 -- COURTNEY CAMPBELL CAUSEWAY: JAM WB through Rocky Point via my traffic cam there. Trying to get more info now.

8:14 -- I-4 UPDATE: Left lane still blocked WB over Orient, with traffic slow east of I-75. Drive time from Mango Rd/579 to I-275 junction downtown = 20 minutes.

8:12 -- ST. PETE: Crash on 90th Ave N @ 7th St per EMS

8:02 -- PALM RIVER-CLAIR MEL: Ax reported on Causeway Blvd @ 78th St

7:58 -- I-4 UPDATE: Left lane of WB over Orient Rd remains blocked. Jam extends beyond I-75. Add 15-20 minutes to drive. MLK or Adamo are alternates (but out of the way)

7:49 -- CLEARWATER: "Debris" reported in the roadway - US-19 & 118th Ave N

7:47 -- I-4 UPDATE: WB delays from east of I-75 (near MM 8) to the crash over Orient Rd.

7:33 -- LARGO: EMS responding to crash on Belcher Rd between Belleair & E Bay @ Watergate Ct.

7:31 -- I-4 TAMPA: Left lane blocked WB over Orient Rd. Traffic is jammed back to I-75. I tweeted a pic at @TampaBayTraffic.

7:28 -- I-4 TAMPA: Sheriff's Dept trying to move cars involved in crash WB over Orient Rd moved out of travel lanes. 1/2-mile back-up already.

7:22 -- I-4 UPDATE: Crash is WESTBOUND near Hillsborough. 1 center lane is blocked. #Traffic stacking up quickly.

7:21 -- I-4 TAMPA: Crash reported EB btwn MLK & Hillsborough. Don't see it on cams yet. WB through that area is generally slow.

7:15 -- I-275 ST. PETE: Crash SB near 38th Ave N. Looks like it involves a bus. No delays.

6:58 -- I-75 TAMPA: Accident reported NB at Exit 257/Brandon. If it's there (I can't see it on my #traffic cams yet) it's not causing a delay on 75.

6:52 -- CLEARWATER: Crash on Enterprise at McMullen Booth just cleared.

6:50 -- I-4 PLANT CITY UPDATE: Earlier crash WB near County Line Rd has FINALLY cleared. Just watched tow truck pull away.

6:42 -- TAMPA/PALM RIVER: Crash reported on US-41/50th @ Causeway Blvd.

6:34 -- CLEARWATER: WB Enterprise still blocked at McMullen Booth. Tow truck is on scene.

6:31 -- I-4 UPDATE: Smokin' truck WB is taking Exit 1 to Ybor City. Through #traffic on WB I-4 is moving OK now.

6:29 -- I-4 TAMPA: Looks like a big truck is overheating WB approaching downtown. It's crawling along, smoking. Delays!

6:17 -- CLEARWATER UPDATE: SR-580 is alternate to avoid the roadblock on WB Enterprise @ McMullen Booth Rd.

6:15 -- CLEARWATER UPDATE: Roadblock on WB Enterprise and turn lane to SB McMullen Booth.

6:00 -- CLEARWATER: EMS responding to crash on Enterprise @ McMullen Booth Rd.

5:32 -- SILVER ALERT issued Florence Murray, driving 04 silver Ford Taurus w/FL tag 484-WQE. Call *347 (*FHP) if you spot vehicle.

5:19 -- PLANT CITY: Non-injury crash on Sam Allen Rd @ Paul Buchman Hwy.

5:07 -- I-4 PLANT CITY: FHP working an injury accident westbound past County Line Rd. Activity in median, and there are no delays.
