Traffic notes for Friday, June 8: AM updates + what you need to know for the weekend

TAMPA - I-275 CONSTRUCTION ALERT: SB I-275 Exit 45B to EB I-4 will be CLOSED for maintenance 6AM Saturday - 6AM Sunday and 11PM to 5:30AM Sunday and Monday nights. Motorists are advised to add at least 10 minutes into travel schedules to get through the detour route. DETOUR: Use Exit 45A to Jefferson Street. Turn left onto Scott Street and use entrance ramp to EB I-4.

CLEARWATER/SAFETY HARBOR: Center lane of the SB McMullen Booth Rd is closed at the CSX railroad crossing (south of State Road 590), for repair work. A complete closure of the southbound lanes may be necessary for CSX to complete that work; additional details will be provided when available.

8:18 -- I-275 ST. PETE: Crash or possibly disabled vehicle NB near Gandy. No delays right now.

8:16 -- SPRING HILL: Water main break, 4831 Keysville Ave., north of Northcliffe Blvd. Local detours while repairs underway.

8:12 -- CLEARWATER/SAFETY HARBOR: SB middle lane of McMullen Booth Rd is closed south of SR-590 for RR Xing repairs.

8:11 -- I-4 is delay free in Hillsborough & Polk counties.

8:00 -- HOWARD FRANKLAND UPDATE: Van that caught fire on bridge earlier has been towed away. There's a picture on my Twitter feed.

7:33 -- DAVENPORT: Hit & run w/injuries reported on US-27 south of I-4 @ Minute Maid Ramp Rd. Also disabled vehicle reported US-27/I-4

7:30 -- SUN CITY CENTER: Crash w/injuries on Sun City Center Blvd west of US-301 near Pebble Beach Blvd

7:20 -- HOWARD FRANKLAND UPDATE: Still slow near the hump, but overall improving. Earlier crash near the hump just cleared. Van fire cleared.

7:14 -- LAND O LAKES/LUTZ: Accident US-41 & SR-54. No roadblock reported.

6:58 -- HOWARD FRANKLAND: Crash on left shoulder near hump of bridge.

6:55 -- HOWARD FRANKLAND: ALL LANES OPEN NB 275 toward #Tampa. Fire Dept left scene of van fire. Still SLOW on the bridge.

6:48 -- HOWARD FRANKLAND UPDATE: 1-mile backup on the bridge toward #Tampa (NB I-275) due to earlier van fire. Gandy, CCC look OK as options.

6:34 -- HOWARD FRANKLAND: Van fire is out, but fire dept blocking two lanes of NB I-275 on the bridge approaching the Tampa side.

6:24 -- SUV in flames on the Howard Frankland, EB toward Tampa. Right lane blocked. Fire Dept not yet on scene.

6:17 -- TAMPA/PALM RIVER: Injury crash on US-41/50th St & Madison Ave.

5:58 -- I-75 SARASOTA: Accident reported on 75 near Fruitville Rd, but no details yet on direction or of there's roadblock.

5:39 -- INTERSTATES and bridges are crash & delay free.

5:27 -- ST. PETERSBURG UPDATE: Looks like EMS has cleared Desoto Way & Cortez Way.

5:07 -- PLANT CITY: Hearing reports that a crash on SR-60 at County Line Rd may involve a truck in a tree. HCSO and FHP responding to the call.

5:07 -- ST. PETERSBURG: Crash in a residential area - Desoto Way & Cortez Way. EMS says it's a vehicle into a pole.
