Traffic notes for Friday, June 15: Today's headlines + what you need to know this weekend

TAMPA - METROCON, Florida's largest anime convention, June 15-17 at Tampa Convention Center.  Directions/parking info is here.

CLEARWATER:  EB lanes of Whitney Rd, just west of Wolford Rd, will experience intermittent lane closures on Friday between 7:15 AM and 3:00 PM. Flaggers will be on-site as contractor performs emergency guardrail repairs. Expect delays.

PINELLAS BAYWAY BRIDGE: FDOT will detour EB traffic on the bridge on Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM. Corey Causeway is the alternate route.

8:24 -- CLEARWATER: PD on scene of accident on Belcher between Cleveland and Gulf to Bay @ Rainbow Dr.

8:21 -- TAMPA: Crash on SB Dale Mabry @ MLK per HCSO

8:19 -- TAMPA UPDATE: Car that was stopped on NB Memorial near TIA just drove off. LEOs look like they're getting ready to leave.

8:16 -- TAMPA: Seeing some sort of police activity on NB Memorial/SR-60 near the TIA exits. Right lane, shoulder are blocked.

8:08 -- SELMON: FHP says there's a mattress in the right lane of EB Selmon @ 22nd St. I could use that right now... ZZZZ

7:57 -- ST. PETERSBURG: EMS responding to accident @ Tyrone Blvd & 66th St N

7:49 -- I-275 TAMPA: Traffic jam SB from I-4 to Howard-Armenia/Himes exit. Typical AM rush stuff.

7:47 -- I-75 DRIVE TIME SB from Apex to Selmon = 21 minutes. Only delays I see are Bruce B Downs to Fowler

7:14 -- TAMPA: Accident on Church Ave north of Hillsborough Ave.

7:12 -- I-4 TAMPA: Slow traffic WB between Ybor City and I-275.

7:04 -- BRADENTON: Crash on Cortez Rd & 18th St W. No roadblock.

6:57 -- BRIDGES are up to speed!

6:25 -- FORT MEADE: Crash on SB US-19 @ 2nd St NW. No roadblock reported. 

6:15 -- FOG along I-75 corridor in Hillsborough County, I-275 in north Tampa.

6:10 -- KEYSTONE: Scene of earlier pedestrian crash on Keystone Rd clear. Victim refused treatment. Hit by car's side mirror driven by off-duty TPD.

6:03 -- TAMPA UPDATE: TPD have left scene of earlier call at I-275 & Busch Blvd.

6:02 -- I-75 APEX: Crash reported SB 75 at the split to SB I-275.

5:33 -- FOG now impacting I-75 south of I-4, and I-4 east of I-75 through Hillsborough and Polk counties.

5:18 -- KEYSTONE: Off-duty Tampa Police officer reportedly involved in crash with pedestrian on Tarpon Springs Rd near the Pinellas/Hillsborough county line. Initial reports say minor injuries.

5:17 -- TAMPA UPDATE: Police activity on Busch & 275 ramp is reported to be a drunk driver call.

5:08 -- FOG along the I-4 corridor in Eastern Hillsborough County and Polk County.

5:07 -- I-275 ST. PETE: Accident northbound at 54th Ave N. Activity on right shoulder.

5:06 -- TAMPA: Police department working something on Busch Blvd @ I-275. EMS was on scene, but just left.
