Traffic news: RR crossing repairs to close major Pinellas County road starting Thursday night

TAMPA - LARGO CONSTRUCTION ALERT: Seminole Blvd. (N/S) will be closed between East Bay/West Bay Dr. and 8 ^th Ave. starting at midnight. CSX will replace the railroad crossing in that area. The closure is anticipated to last one week. Access to businesses will be maintained, but all other traffic will be detoured to Clearwater-Largo Rd.

RIVERVIEW: FHP continues to investigate a crash involving a dump truck and a car that closed EB Big Bend Rd closed at I-75 Thursday morning. PHOTOS from the accident on EB Big Bend Rd at I-75 are posted on Twitter.  UPDATE: FHP says Lisa Perazzoli Ferrey, 46, of Riverview drove her Altima into the path of the dump truck, driven by Omar R Campos Aguado, 47, of Tampa.  The dump truck overturned, spilling dirt onto Big Bend and the I-75 southbound exit ramp. Ferrey and Aguado were taken to Tampa General.

8:00 -- BAYSIDE BRIDGE: If you see Fire Dept/EMS activity, there's some sort of search underway in the water.

7:58 -- RIVERVIEW UPDATE: EB Big Bend Rd traffic cannot travel past East Bay HS. To get to 75, take US-41 up to Gibsonton Dr. WB Big Bend fine.

7:31 -- RIVERVIEW UPDATE: EB Big Bend Rd CLOSED at I-75. If you need to get to 75, you'll have to use Gibsonton. I-75 is open.

7:25 -- N TAMPA: Crash @ Bruce B Downs & Fletcher. No injuries reported.

7:20 -- RIVERVIEW UPDATE: Crash on Big Bend Rd @ I-75 involves overturned semi with fuel leaking. Captain Al heading there to look.

7:19 -- DOWNTOWN TAMPA: Accident @ Tampa St & Whiting St.

7:15 -- RIVERVIEW: Crash w/possible entrapment on Big Bend Rd @ I-75

6:55 -- I-4: Capt Al is flying over the I-4 & I-75 junction on the east side of the Tampa metro area. So far, so good (as of 6:55 AM)

6:47 -- TAMPA: Morning rush has begun! Starting to see heavy traffic on SB I-275 out of N. Tampa. Crash free right now.

6:45 -- GIBSONTON: HCSO working crash on Gibsonton Dr west of I-75 @ Vaughn. No injuries reported.

6:12 -- BRIDGES are all clear.

5:43 -- VALRICO: HCSO checking on a road obstruction on Lithia Pinecrest Rd near Lynx Paw Trail.

5:41 -- HOWARD FRANKLAND: FHP or Road Ranger activity NB 275 on St. Pete end of bridge. FHP has been hanging out there this week. Slow down.
