9:02 -- BRADENTON: Crash with roadblock on WB SR-70 in front of the Lowes near 72nd Blvd E

9:00 -- LARGO: Crash on Concept Blvd & Bryan Dairy Rd

8:56 -- I-75 SOUTHBOUND CRAWLING through Manatee, Sarasota counties. Moving at just 16mph past Fruitville Rd. Due to that crash I reported earlier.

8:54 -- BRADENTON CRASHES: 3rd St W/301; 52nd Pl E/73rd Ln; 14th St W/69th Ave; University Pkwy/Cooper Creek.

8:51 -- I-4 TAMPA UPDATE: Fire Department just pulled up to flipped car, westbound near 26th St. Delays back to 50th St.

8:49 -- CLEARWATER: Fire/rescue called to alarm at shopping center at US-19 & Sunset Point Rd.

8:44 -- I-4 TAMPA: Upside-down car! Westbound I-4 near 26th St, approaching downtown Tampa. That's a problem.

8:41 -- I-275 TAMPA: Accident at the SB I-275 exit to West Shore Blvd. 

8:30 -- I-75 MANATEE & SARASOTA: My maps are showing very slow traffic SB between SR-70 and SR-72. Earlier crash SB past Exit 213/University Pkwy

8:11 -- I-275 DOWNTOWN TAMPA: Hit and run SB past I-4. One vehicle on right shoulder w/lights on flash. No FHP there yet.

7:47 -- I-75 SARASOTA CO: Accident southbound, just south of Exit 213/University Pkwy.

7:46 -- I-275 TAMPA: Crash reported southbound near Fowler Ave. Don't see it on my cameras yet, but traffic very heavy SB past Bearss.

7:44 -- GREATER PINELLAS POINT: Capt Al points out that the crash on 60th Ave S & MLK is near Lakewood HS. He's heading that way.

7:34 -- GREATER PINELLAS POINT UPDATE: Crash is 60th Ave N & MLK (not 62nd)

7:29 -- TAMPA/CARROLLWOOD: Crash on Dale Mabry north of Pinecrest Manor/Lambright at Minnehaha.

7:25 -- I-75 SARASOTA CO: Hit and run southbound near MM 207, south of Clark Rd. No roadblock.

7:23 -- GREATER PINELLAS POINT: Crash on 62nd Ave S & MLK.

7:21 -- ST. PETERSBURG/BAY PINES: Crash on Duhme Rd (snicker) & American Legion Dr.

7:18 -- MYAKKA CITY - MANATEE CO: Roadblock on WB SR-70 & 245th St. Use Fruitville Rd or Bradenton-Arcadia Rd.

7:16 -- PASCO: Going to Hudson HS this AM? Look out for a minor crash @ Hicks Rd & Hudson Ave. #Cobras

7:13 -- POLK CO.: Accident @ 7007 N Socrum Loop Rd (near Colt Creek State Park) and on Peterson Rd & Lakeland Highlands.

7:09 -- I-275 PINELLAS CO: Crash southbound near 22nd Ave N. On outside/right shoulder. No delays.

6:55 -- LARGO UPDATE: Fire/rescue loading a patient on East Bay Dr WB past Keene Rd. per Capt Al in Action Air 1. One lane gets by.

6:52 -- I-75 TAMPA UPDATE: Exit ramp from NB 75 to I-4 is now open. Delays easing.

6:50 -- LARGO: EMS working a crash on East Bay Dr & Country Club Dr

6:33 -- I-275 TAMPA: Hit and run reported SB near Dale Mabry Hwy. FHP checking on it.

6:19 -- I-75 TAMPA: Staring to see some delays northbound at Exit 260/I-4 due to the earlier flipped semi. Traffic *can use the exit ramp.

6:21 -- TARPON SPRINGS: Crash reported on Alt. 19/Pinellas Ave & Spruce St

6:17 -- TAMPA - TOWN N COUNTRY: Accident on Independence & Memorial, per HCSO. No injuries reported.

6:13 -- HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY school buses are hitting the roads right now for a dry run of school bus routes. #BackToSchool

5:44 -- TAMPA: Crash reported on MLK/SR-574 & Williams Rd, east of I-75.

5:35 -- I-75 TAMPA UPDATE: 1 lane now open on the ramp from NB I-75 to I-4, per photojournalist on scene.

5:28 -- POLK CO/MULBERRY: Accident on SR-37 north of CR-640, No roadblock reported.

5:17 -- I-75 TAMPA: NB ramp to Exit 260/I-4 remains closed.

5:07 -- Accident-free in Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, Hernando, Manatee & Sarasota counties.

5:00 -- I-75 TAMPA: Northbound I-75 ramp to I-4 (Exit 261) remains closed following an overnight crash. FHP says the driver of a semi fell asleep at the wheel. He's OK, but there's fuel spill that's being cleaned up. Detour: NB I-75 to Exit 260/MLK. MLK westbound to 301, then NB to I-4; or MLK eastbound to CR-579 to I-4.

CLEARWATER CONSTRUCTION ALERT: Starting on Monday, August 20 at 8:00 PM, FDOT will close the entrance ramp south of Drew St. to southbound US-19 for construction. Traffic accessing southbound 19 will remain on the frontage road, cross over SR-60 and enter US-19 from that point.  Traffic will be monitored and the US-19 and SR-60 signal timing will be adjusted to minimize impacts.  Message boards are in place to notify motorists.
